Dis-Chem pharmacies require a casual cleaner in the Weskus Mall – Vredenburg store. You will be required to ensure a clean and tidy office space whilst maintaining a Dis-Chem hygienic standard throughout the head office.
Minimum requirements:
Essential: Grade 12/Enrollment
Work description:
Provide a high level of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Headquarters and common areas on a daily basis.
Develop routines to ensure all areas of the head office are maintained at a high level of cleanliness.
Ensure the dining room and bathroom are clean and stocked with necessary products at all times.
Be available at all times, during operating hours, to clean as needed.
Make sure the garbage does not contain any products or valuables before disposing of it.
Vacuum carpeted areas (meeting and training rooms) daily per standard operating procedures.
Vacuum other carpeted areas once a week per standard operating procedures.
Dust desks, chairs, phones, shelves, copiers, etc. in offices and meeting rooms according to standard operating procedures.
Comply with industry health and safety standards while performing duties.
Ensure that cleaning utensils are not left unattended on the office floor and are put away when not in use.
Make sure the wet floor sign is facing up and visible at both ends when cleaning the floor.
Be friendly and professional – able to deal with customers when they are on site while cleaning is being carried out.
Guide customers to the appropriate floor or people when they ask for help.
Communicate with staff and guests in a clear and friendly manner.
Resolve minor issues or redirect to team leader for help.
Ensure kitchens and bathrooms are stocked and cleaned to Dis-Chem standards. Report any out-of-stocks or out-of-stocks to the team leader.
Report any malfunction of equipment or elements in the areas of operation: doors, handles, locks, faucets, cisterns, lights, switches, etc. to the team leader.
