ROLE OVERVIEW
A General Worker performs a range of tasks to support the effective functioning of the Kraaifontein Warehouse. This person will be assisting with various warehouse duties such as receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse as well as maintaining a clean and organised work environment.
DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES Receive and unload deliveries of materials, tools, equipment, and products Count, verify, and inspect received items for damages or defects Store received items in designated storage areas Prepare and pack orders for shipment Conducting first checks on orders and ensuring that all items are correctly picked / checked and / or packed as per the picking ticket and / or invoice. Assist with inventory management by updating stock records and conducting regular stock takes Assist in the unloading of containers/ shipments Maintain a clean and organised work environment by cleaning and organising Warehouse, Offices and Bathrooms Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
REQUIREMENTS
High School Certificate (Grade 12) Minimum of 1 years working experience within a Warehouse and / or Retail environment. Ability to lift and carry heavy items Attention to detail and accuracy Strong organisational skills Ability to work well in a team environment Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
