We require an experienced weekday Nanny and Homework Helper for 2 kids, boy aged 6 years and little girl, aged 2 years, with general housekeeping duties as well.
Both kids are at school until midday and so we require housekeeping services in the morning and Nanny services in the afternoon.
A typical day would start at around 9am, starting off with housekeeping duties and perhaps some preparation for the kids when they arrive home from school after midday. At around 13:30, the kids will eat lunch and then some structured play and free play, with activities to keep them engaged and entertained. From about 3pm – 4pm, homework should be done and we need someone with the capabilities to provide guidance and instruction. From time to time, you might be required to join Mom and the kids for after school activities. A typical day will end at 5pm. Mom works from home and will do all the necessary driving to and from school and to all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the rules and routines established for the kids
- Prepare fun and educational activities for the day (of course we will cover any cost of materials required eg. arts and crafts)
- Prepare healthy snacks for kids when they get home from school, daily.
- Assist with homework (grade 1), daily.
- Accompany family on outings during the week, if required.
- General housework, eg. cleaning rooms, bathrooms, cleaning appliances, doing laundry, packing cupboards etc.
- Supervising playdates
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 8-11
Experience:
Minimum of 0 years experience working as a Nanny, caring for more than 1 child at a time. If you have experience caring for children on the Autism Spectrum or with ADHD, this will be a significant advantage.
Skills and Characteristics:
- We are a Christian household and so we would love for our Nanny to have a similar background.
- We are looking for someone who loves reading and will be prepared to read to the kids, including bible stories
- We would like for our Nanny to have the ability and willingness to swim with the kids on warm days.
- We need someone who is energetic and eager to play with 2 very “busy” kids
- Having your own transport will be an advantage (not mandatory)
- We are looking for someone who is creative and playful but firm, with the ability to ensure that the kids follow the necessary rules and routines

Expected hours: 40 hours per week, including a daily 1 hour lunch break
