The purpose of the Back of House Staff role, including kitchen staff, bar staff, and assistant bakers, is to support the smooth operation of the establishment’s core functions. They play a crucial role in maintaining the overall operations of the establishment, ensuring high-quality food and beverage service, and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Hospitality Qualification- Advantageous
- Experience in relevant field within BOH i.e., cold, hot, pizza, baking, bar etc.
- Knowledge and practice of food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Role and Responsibilities:
- Follow all aspects of food and Bev preparation and presentation as set out through brand specific briefings and recipes.
- Follow and uphold all relevant sectional SOPs.
- Attendance and active participation in all relevant training sessions on & off site.
- Training, coaching and guidance to new hires.
- Control and minimisation of waste.
- Utilising kitchen equipment in a safe and responsible manner, avoiding and reporting any damage or required maintenance.

- Flexibility and willingness to work rotating shifts and step in to assist in all sections during busy service.
