Job Overview
Baby Sitter / Au Pair position available in Somerset West.
We are a busy family seeking a reliable and caring individual to provide part-time childcare for our 1-year-old child and occasional pet sitting. The ideal candidate should have experience in childcare, possess a valid first aid certification, and be comfortable caring for infants.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing attentive and nurturing care to our 1-year-old child during date nights and weekends.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the child at all times.
- Engaging in age-appropriate activities and playtime.
- Preparing meals and snacks for the child as needed.
- Putting the child to bed and following established bedtime routines.
- Occasionally pet sitting and ensuring the well-being of our pets during our absence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in childcare, particularly with infants.
- Valid certification in first aid.
- Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our child.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Own transportation preferred for emergency situations, though driving is not expected for childcare duties.
- References from previous childcare/pet sitting positions.
Schedule:
- Part-time, primarily evenings and weekends.
- Occasional weekdays or overnight stays may be required, with advance notice.
